The project is part of Rhenus Lub\u2019s long-term sustainability strategy and emphasises its sense of responsibility towards future generations.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The forest and its importance for the climate are very close to my heart,\u2019 explains Isabella Kleeschulte, Head of Sustainability Projects at Rhenus Lub. \u2018As a company that has been rooted in M\u00f6nchengladbach for many years, it\u2019s important to us to make a direct contribution here in the region. Our tree-planting project is a sign of our commitment to the region and our vision for a future worth living.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Sustainability in M\u00f6nchengladbach: Rhenus Lub plants 1,000 trees in the Hardter Wald\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sCO8xp7cvLY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Sustainability to promote team spirit<\/h3>\n<p>The committed employees of Rhenus Lub were first given an expert introduction to the forestry background of the project: the young oaks will contribute to the ecological stability of the forest area and the preservation of biodiversity in upcoming years. The decision to plant native tree species such as the oak was a conscious one, as these robust and adaptable trees make a valuable contribution to the stability of native forest ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>With their commitment, the employees not only emphasise their personal connection to the environment, but also the sense of community and cohesion within the company. After the work was done, Rhenus Lub invited the participants to the \u2018Fuchsbau\u2019 restaurant to round off the event in a cosy atmosphere and talk about their impressions of the day.<\/p>\n<h3>Regional commitment to sustainability<\/h3>\n<p>The project is one of several measures that Rhenus Lub regularly implements as part of its sustainability strategy.
